I am normally quite against an excessive use of limited editions however with JD the fact that the majority of their production is limited to 8 or 88 pieces obliges the brand to be very creative as to produce novel pieces each year. I only wish they would enlarge their offerings in the 39 mm cases.

The 2006 vintage was rather pleasant with a black enamel dial model, and a beautiful rose gold model with Geneva stripes pattern on the dial in the Grande Seconde collection. My favourite piece and a real looker.

The Grande Heure Minute is one of the rare models JD presents in a steel case (limited to 88 pieces each). It exists in 3 variations: 2 with enamel dials another with metal dial. What’s interesting is that the non enamel dial doesn’t even have the brand name on it but just the logo! Nevertheless, I don’t find these models very attractive and they kind of stand out in a rather harmonious model range.

The ladies Fleurs du Temps models feature delicate dials with Art Nouveau inspired gem setting.

JD also presented new Regulateur with and without GMT functions along with different stone dials.

A new metal bracelet (held together by blued screws) is now also available for JD wacthes.
